July 1st marked the start of a new term for the RVNA Board of Directors as we say au revoir – and thank you – to several two-term Board members and welcome a new team aboard, including new Chairperson, Vicki Mueller (right in photo with RVNA’s Theresa Santoro).
“The last eight years have been a time of remarkable progress for RVNA and we could not be more grateful for the support, wisdom and time that our Board has given us during this time,” says RVNA President and CEO, Theresa Santoro. “These years have laid the groundwork and promise for RVNA’s future.”
“Retiring” from the RVNA Board this year are: Marcie Coffin, treasurer; Lucy Cushman; Geri Hotard; Mary Jones, Chair; and Bill Wyman, each having served since 2009.
And joining the Board this summer are local leaders and talents: Vicki Mueller, Chair; Kerry Anne Ducey; Joe Egan, Esq.; Liz Ellis; Jennifer Phelps, MD; and Tom Reynolds, CPA.
Meet the new RVNA Board Members:
Kerry Anne Ducey is the founder and publisher of HamletHub and the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 Ridgefield Woman of the Year. Kerry Anne has been an active volunteer at RVNA since 2010, serving on a variety of committees. A Ridgefield resident, Kerry Anne also supports multiple other Ridgefield organizations.
Joe Egan, Esq. was the Judge of Probate for Ridgefield from 1990 – 2011, and the District of Northern Fairfield (Ridgefield plus Bethel, Newtown and Redding) from January 2011 until his retirement in 2016. A former Director of the Boys and Girls Club, Little League, and Pop Warner Football, Joe is a resident of Ridgefield and a newcomer to the RVNA Board.
Liz Ellis returns to the RVNA Board after a brief hiatus. Liz served from 2009 – 2016 in a variety of roles and committees including the Development Committee, Human Resources/Personnel Committee, Corporate Compliance Committee, By Laws & Governance Committee and the Executive Committee. Liz is also active with the Ridgefield Public Library and Founders Hall and was a 2016 inductee into the Ridgefield Boys & Girls Club’s Hall of Fame.
Vicki Mueller, Board Chair is a retirement strategist with Charter Research & Investment Group, Inc. and has been active with RVNA since 2005, serving on the Board, committees and volunteering hands-on as a friendly visitor and flu clinic volunteer, among other roles. Vicki is a Ridgefield resident with a deep commitment to the services and care that RVNA brings to our communities.
Jennifer Phelps, M.D. is the president of Phelps M.D. Integrative Medicine in Georgetown, CT where she specializes in integrative medicine for families, seeking to utilize effective non-pharmacologic treatments for many common medical conditions. Jennifer is a Redding resident and is an active volunteer at the Redding-Easton Boys & Girls Club as well as Ann’s Place Cancer Support Center.
Thomas F. Reynolds, CPA is a founding partner of Reynolds + Rowella — Accounting and Consulting. For over 35 years, Tom has worked extensively with individuals and businesses offering tax and advisory responsibilities for a broad range of clients. Tom has served on the RVNA Development Committee and supported several other local charitable organizations.
