RVNA Outpatient Therapy Center
RVNA now offers physical therapy and rehabilitation services onsite through Rehab by RVNA, our outpatient physical therapy center and program, located at our home, the Center for Exceptional Care, in Ridgefield, CT.
RVNA has been offering in-home Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Services for over 30 years, providing a wide range of therapeutic services to our clients in their homes or care facilities. We are now able to offer these important services — and more — outside of the home.
Hands-on. One-on-One. Personalized. Collaborative. Goal-oriented.
Rehab by RVNA’s highly-experienced therapists partner with you and collaborate with your care providers to fully understand your individual situation and develop a custom plan to achieve your goals.
During your appointments at Rehab by RVNA, your therapist is dedicated solely to you, working one-on-one to ensure you get the most out of each session. Following each appointment, your therapist will provide you with customized exercises to practice at home in accordance with your plan of care.

Rehab by RVNA offers a wide range of physical rehabilitation services that are customized to address your particular needs and goals. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, illness, or surgery, or are experiencing discomfort or pain that is compromising your mobility, movement — and perhaps your happiness— RVNA therapists provide the specialized care and treatment you need to help regain your strength, mobility, balance, and health.
Rehab by RVNA’s areas of expertise include:
Rehab by RVNA’s physical therapy services address pain, weaknesses or immobility caused by sports, injury, surgery or illness, or other life events.
Some specialties include:
Joint Replacement Physical Therapy
Joint Replacement Physical Therapy is designed to strengthen muscles, increase range of motion and prevent stiffness, scar tissue and loss of muscle tone after joint replacement surgery.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Orthopedic Physical Therapy concentrates on the treatment or rehabilitation of impairments to the muscles, bones, joints, tendons and ligaments, typically as the result of injury, illness or overuse.
Neurological Physical Therapy
Focused on the assessment and correction of pain and dysfunction associated with neurological diseases and conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, head and spinal cord injuries, and other neurological conditions.
These services are focused on helping you perform everyday tasks to live a full, productive life. This may include helping a patient who is recovering from an injury or stroke regain lost skills, or supporting older adults experiencing physical or cognitive changes. RVNA’s Activities of Daily Living program helps patients develop the skills they need to successfully complete day-to-day activities on their own by teaching and practicing everyday tasks.
Speech, Language and Swallowing Therapy
Designed for patients who are experiencing speech and swallowing difficulties, recovering from a stroke, or living with Parkinson’s disease, ALS, multiple sclerosis or other conditions. Our speech therapists have experience in all areas, including cognitive training and speech language retraining.
This technique, in which muscles and joints are stabilized and secured using special kinesio tape, encourages the body’s natural healing process by providing support and cohesion without inhibiting the body’s range of motion. Kinesio taping also extends the benefits of manual therapy when administered following a physical therapy session.
Intended for patients suffering from dizziness, vertigo, head trauma or Meniere’s disease. The goal is to help your body and brain regain the ability to process balance information properly, so you can return to normal, everyday activities with confidence.
Massage Therapy and Reiki
Designed to increase circulation, reduce tension, and re-align muscles in order to enhance energy and balance, Rehab by RVNA offers both massage therapy and Reiki. Massage therapy involves active manipulation of the muscles, while Reiki involves the use of touch and defined hand positions to achieve similar ends.
Current rehabilitation and physical therapy patients who complete their prescribed rehabilitation programs are invited to become “members” of Rehab by RVNA and continue to use our facility and equipment during operating hours. Rehab by RVNA members will direct their own wellness routines, and our RVNA team will always be on-site to provide guidance and assistance.
The fully-accessible Rehab by RVNA Center is located at our Center for Exceptional Care at 27 Governor Street in Ridgefield, CT. Our recently-constructed Center includes private treatment rooms in addition to a full open gym with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, parallel bars, and other therapeutic apparatus designed to help users gain strength, improve balance, and increase mobility and range of motion. Rehab by RVNA is fully accessible to all visitors entering the lower level of the building.
Rehab by RVNA’s physical therapists are fully-certified and are highly-experienced, skilled, and caring. Their background includes extensive years of clinical practice, as well as training in manual therapeutic techniques, kinesio taping, and neuro-muscular therapy.
