When it was time for Bruce Simon to transition to outpatient physical therapy – following his recent knee replacement surgery and in-home care – he didn’t have to look far. He chose Rehab by RVNA. “The RVNA nurse and physical therapist that had come to my home were fabulous,” says Simon. “Professional, compassionate and so lovely to work with. It made sense to continue with RVNA rather than go anywhere else.”
And it has worked out famously.
Simon, who had surgery on April 7th now does physical therapy three times a week at Rehab by RVNA and is getting stronger every day. “I can’t say enough,” enthuses Simon, who describes his Rehab by RVNA experience as such: “It is comfortable, relaxed and encouraging. And they push you. When you leave, you feel good.”
Simon, a retired teacher (Farmingville Elementary School) and school administrator (Weston Public Schools) who substitutes regularly in the Ridgefield elementary and middle schools, is motivated to recover. An avid golfer and gardener, his season is upon us and he is eager to get outdoors and be active.
And, according to Casey Sarmiere, MSPT, Simon is on track for a strong recovery and a return to the things he loves. “Bruce is self-motivated and serious. He works hard at his sessions and does his homework – he’s an educator, after all! – and we are working together to get him safely back on the fairways this season. That’s our job, after all.”
